The Process: To embroider your design, we must first convert your artwork into a stitch file (Digitizing). This is a skilled technical service which is required to be completed for every design. Costs associated with the digitization service are charged to the customer.
Ownership: The digitizing fee covers the labor to create the stitch file. Unless otherwise agreed upon, the proprietary stitch file remains the property of Accelerated GraphX, though your artwork and logos remain yours.
Small Text Warning: To ensure legibility, we recommend a minimum text height of 0.25 inches (6mm). Anything smaller may "close up" or become unreadable due to thread thickness.
Fabric Puckering: Embroidery adds weight and tension to a garment. On very thin or stretchy fabrics (like performance tees), slight puckering may occur. This is a natural characteristic of the craft and not a defect.
Hoop Marks / Location Marks: During production, your garment is held in a "hoop." This may leave a temporary ring or indentation around the design. Locations marks may be created on the apparel to help ensure the embroidery is applied in the right direction at the right location. These types of marks usually disappear after the first wash or a light steaming and are not considered damage.
Backing Materials: We use "stabilizer" (backing) on the inside of the garment (and occassionally on the front) to ensure the design stays crisp. Some stabilizer may remain visible on the inside of the garment; this is necessary for the integrity of the stitches.
Thread Limitations: We use high-quality [Polyester/Rayon] threads. While we stock hundreds of colors, thread cannot be custom-mixed like ink. We will select the closest possible match to your brand colors.
Metallic & Specialty Threads: Use of metallic or specialty threads may incur an additional "breakage fee" due to the slower machine speeds and high needle-wear required.
Risk of Machine Malfunction: While rare, embroidery machines can occasionally "nest" (jam), which may result in a hole or tear in the fabric.
Replacement Policy: If you provide your own items, you acknowledge that we are stitching on a high-speed industrial machine. In the event of a machine malfunction on a customer-supplied item, we will waive the embroidery labor fee but are not responsible for the replacement cost of the garment.
Design Integrity: We welcome diverse creative expressions and cultural designs. However, we reserve the right to decline any project containing hate speech, discriminatory imagery, or content that promotes violence.
Accessibility: If you require these terms in an alternative format (large print, audio, or simplified language), please let us know. We are committed to making our custom services accessible to everyone.
Expected Life Span: Professionally embroidered designs are the most durable form of apparel decoration and are expected to outlast the garment itself.
Care: To prevent thread fraying, we recommend washing garments inside out and avoiding Velcro or zippers in the same wash cycle, which can "snag" the embroidery.
