DTF Transfer Terms & Conditions

1. Artwork Quality & Resolution

  • File Requirements: For high-quality DTF results, artwork must be submitted at 300 DPI in CMYK color mode with a transparent background.

  • Edge Quality: We are not responsible for "fuzzy" edges or pixelation resulting from low-resolution files. Small details (lines thinner than .125") may not adhere properly to the garment and are printed at the customer's risk.

2. Color Accuracy & "Color Shift"

  • CMYK Printing: DTF uses a CMYK+White process. Some vibrant RGB colors (neon or ultra-brights) may appear more muted when converted for print.  Colors with "sparkle" will show differently when DTF is used.

  • Fabric Influence: The color of the garment can subtly affect the appearance of the transfer. We are not responsible for slight color shifts caused by the interaction between the ink and the fabric dye.

3. Expected Life Span & Durability

DTF transfers are known for their stretchability and durability, but they are not permanent "for life" markings.

  • Estimated Longevity: With proper care, a DTF transfer typically lasts 50 to 60+ washes before noticeable cracking or fading begins. This meets or exceeds industry standards for heat-applied graphics.

  • Natural Wear: Like any apparel decoration, some minor "softening" of the print or slight texture changes over time are considered normal wear and tear and are not grounds for a refund.

4. Mandatory Care Instructions

To ensure the life span mentioned above, the customer agrees to follow (and provide their end-users with) these care instructions. Failure to do so voids any quality guarantees:

  • Wash: Inside out, cold water, gentle cycle.

  • Dry: Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry (recommended).

  • Ironing: Never iron directly on the transfer. Use a pressing cloth or iron on the reverse side.

  • Chemicals: Do not use bleach or aggressive fabric softeners.

5. Application & Heat Sensitivity (For "Transfers Only" Orders)

  • Customer Application: If you are purchasing transfers to apply yourself, we are not responsible for results. Success depends on the specific pressure, temperature, and timing of your heat press.

  • Garment Sensitivity: Some synthetic fabrics (like certain polyesters or nylons) may "scorch" or "ghost" under the heat required for DTF application. We are not liable for heat marks on sensitive or customer-supplied fabrics.

6. Claims & Defective Transfers

  • Adhesion Issues: If a transfer begins to peel within the first two washes (and care instructions were followed), please notify us within 7 days. We will investigate the batch and, if a manufacturing defect is found, provide a replacement or credit.
